How To Drug Proof Your Kids

For the first time CASM is offering this innovative course from Care for the Family.

It is a 6 week, 2hr per week, interactive course covering many aspects of parenting, drug awareness and how to cope if your child becomes involved in Substance Misuse.

The course is specially designed for parents and aims to help them:

• Become better informed about current drug use and related harm
• Develop strategies to help their children make informed choices about drug use
• Spend time examining their own beliefs and attitudes
• Gain community information and access to support

The programme's six sessions are:

• Drugs: How bad is the problem?
• Why kids take drugs
• How to educate kids to make good choices
• Prevention tools for parents
• Learning to intervene - and where to get help
• How to handle relapses
